The Lumia lineup is a whole range for the user's ranging from low-end to high-end. Lumia have also phablet in their series , the Lumia 1520 and the Lumia 1320. Both the models have done reasonably in the Lumia smart-phones line-up.The Lumia 1330 might be the new successor to the Lumia 1320.
According to the photo uploaded by @staguevue on twitter , the phone is said to be the Lumia 1330. The phone is expected to support a 5.7 inch (720 X 1280 pixels) display. The 1320 supported the same display but was 0.3 inch bigger than this. The leak ed image also further leaks that the phone might have 1GB of RAM. Further the 1330 is about to feature a Snapdragon 400 Quad Core SOC. Which is an upgrade from the original Lumia 1320's Dual Core SOC.
The image also hints to the image part of the phone. The 1330 may support a Carl Zeiss optics 14 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera . Which is a big bump from a 1320 which comprised of a 5 MP rear and 0.3 MP front.Though there hasn't been a confirmation by Microsoft .
While the launch date, availability or the price details of the 1330 are not yet known, Microsoft may introduce at the upcoming CES 2015 event or during the MWC 2015 in February. We believe that this might be the second phone under the Microsoft Lumia brand after the Lumia 535.

iPAC-MAN : A Powerbank and Gamepad
Power-banks are really a great accessory these days for the smart-phones.They have been on a rise when the battery life of the phones are not satisfying or adequate for the users. Power-banks are on a rise of sales by companies providing each of their own variant. While iPhone lovers have to settle by other companies for their power-banks. Power-banks usually are just a plastic case battery pack which just boost your phone till you get to a charger.Well this power-bank is unique , let's see why?
iPac-Man is a power-bank for iPhone but the Pac-Man in the name is for the game pad designed at the back. iPac-Man has a fully functional game pad which connects to the iPhone via Bluetooth. The iPac -Man works for both the iPhone as well as the iPad. iPac-Man has box style design to it and has good side finishing to it.The corners are rounded just so that the gamer's don't feel tension to their hands.
iPac-Man power-bank has a 6000mAh battery in it , to support the extra juice when you need. The iPac-Man has basic fire-wire to USB connecting port to connect it to the devices. Moreover it can charge two devices simultaneously saving you more time. The length of the wire is a 23m of length and is a good feature.
iPac-Man is not only a power bank but the selling point is the Game pad.It is connected to Apple's iPad or iPhone by the Bluetooth. The Game pad feels smooth and is fully functional. The game pad has all the buttons and the joystick is quite responsive . The buttons also respond quite well and clicky which is good sound in all.The company also provides a special mount for iPhone so that the iPhone and the game pad are one above the another and simpler in holding.
iPac-Man for $49 is a great powerhouse in itself. For $49 a portable power bank as well as fully functional game pad is a steal. With a few dollars extra you can add extra mounting to help you more in playing all the games.the company also offers a VIP product which has a higher 8200mAh battery and the same game pad. The company is offering the product only through Indiegogo campaign . IN all a different approach and a reason to buy a power bank for consumers.

MICROSOFT GARAGE
Microsoft Garage a whole new side desk adventure by Microsoft to create new ideas.Google might not develop for Windows but Microsoft takes interest . Microsoft Garage is a chance to for outsiders to see what Microsoft employees create inside the company during the free time. The projects varies from Windows to iOS and even Android. Let's look at some of them.
NEXT LOCKSCREEN
With Next Lockscreen Microsoft takes a better way at the standard Android lockscreen. It is available on Google Play for free download. It sticks around Microsoft's new principle which focus more on productivity.Microsoft saying it is a time saver and built for the "busy people". The lockscreen is quite impressive from others available in the market. The lockscreen lets you see the information that's relevant to you and directly access it. Your calendar appointments are also listed and you can alter it .The lockscreen also let's you directly swipe and call and get instant access to the apps.
Quick app launch within Next Lock Screen isquite similar like an iOS Control Center. You can pin your favorite apps and tools to it to quickly toggle Wi-Fi or a flashlight and launch any apps from the lock screen. There are separate sections for work, home, and on the go, providing a little bit of flexibility for different locations .
JOURNEY & NOTES
It is designed as a way to keep a log of your travel history.Quite similar to Foursquare , it allows you to access tips from fellow travelers and friends who have traveled the same route as you or might be going. It is more like a new social app but a travel social app which leaves your memories on-route.
TORQUE
How come Android Wear be left behind in all this innovation. But this one can be considered as a copy. The Microsoft Torque app aims to replace your "Ok Google" default function in the Android Wear. Once activated it performs like a normally but does a Bing search instead. It's basically a cheap replica of Google search engine on Android Wear. The Torque can also be activated from phone and does quite similar feature like on the smartwatch.Just a good thing about Torque is that you don't have to shout "Ok Google" on your watch everytime.
TETRA LOCKSCREEN
In Tetra lockscreen you can view the upcoming calendar events, your current location on a street map.It even has an activity tracker, for SensorCore enabled device, which give users the ability to track their steps, distance or approximate number of calories burned.
Here's a list of features Tetra Lockscreen has to offer: Agenda
Displays upcoming calendar events Visualizes the pace of your day with a simple timeline
Current Location Shows your current location on a street map Displays nearby calendar events with identifiable locations Pan and zoom in the top area of the screen, the bottom is reserved for unlocking
Activity Tracker Displays activity in steps, distance or approximate number of calories burned Compare by hour in the daily view, or by day in the weekly view
Stopwatch Keeps time even when your screen is off Lap functionality
It's worth mentioning that Activity Tracker doesn't work with all Windows Phone devices, but only those which comes with Nokia SensorCore. The App is free downloadable on Windows Store and is available in select countries.

HP STREAM 11 : REVIEW
Chromebooks have come from a long time in the market but we can see that steadily the growth in this category has also started.Chromebook has come a long way by constant upgrading by Google this lite OS laptops have really got their attention.Well this is threatening to the Windows OS because the rookie computer user has a alternative option.Chromebooks main features are light , faster booting and a free OS.Let's see if HP Stream can avail on these points and also make a mark.
HARDWARE
When you see the HP Stream 11 it looks like a netbook. It is small , light and plastic covering it all . The small fanless machine weighs around 2.74 pounds with plain plastic shell. One of the most stylish netbook ever seen!.But saying that this is a fanless machine which quite surprises me.HP has done a great job in designing this product and also has found optimum results.Stream 11 includes two USB connections (one 3.0, one 2.0), a full-sized HDMI socket, a full-sized SD card reader and a combination headphone/mic jack.
HP Stream 11 comes with 11 inch 1,366 x 768 non-touch display, with a healthy amount of bezel. The resolution of the display is no doubt to be complained off. However it does have some glitches ,the viewing angles are fairly narrow, especially from head-on. The colors tend to wash out when trying to crank up the brightness, but even on a more medium setting, everything looks dull and muted. This is really an issue to look for in the product. But the good part is that sound quality is far good than expected. The speakers even though located at the bottom side , give a loud volume. The DTS Studio Sound has really enhanced the quality of the sound . Even when placed on the lap or even on the flat surface , the sound does not change. The keyboard also adding in to the positive side , as expected from HP.The machine despite is 11.6 inch , the keyboard is nearly full sized . The keys are well spaced in between two keys and has a decent size. The touch pad is quite responsive using multiple gesture but the single finger usage was sluggish and gets unresponsive at times . This may be a software glitch which can be fixed over timely updates.
HP Stream 11 is powered by a Intel Celeron N2840 with in-built Intel HD Graphics. The processor has 1 MB cache and has dual cores . The Stream is supported with 2 GB RAM and has built in storage for 32 GB eMMC .The OS takes up time during booting, it's a greater time for normal boot. The Windows OS takes time unlike the Chrome OS. The specality of Chrome OS is that it's a extremely light OS so takes the minimum time to boot , but windows is known for slow booting even in the past. The battery is a 3 cell 37 Wh Li-ion battery which will give you up to 8 hrs of battery life. The battery last as long as the company states under normal usage but lower usage may increase battery time.
SOFTWARE
Surprisingly the HP Stream 11 features a full fledged Windows 8.1 out of the box.We thought that the Stream would come with a tear-down version of Windows. It comes with a Windows 8.1 with Bing as the default search engine. The HP Stream 11 has got an additional 1 TB of One drive storage. Not only that but it has along with it a one-year Office 365 Personal included.Microsoft also gives a $25 gift-card from the Microsoft store.
HP Stream 11 also has default HP apps for more connectivity and compatibility with other HP products. The Stream also comes with a third party apps like TripAdvisor , Skype and also Netflix as default.Stream also comes with McAfee trial Life Safe product.Speaking of Windows it's always had more productivity options than Chromebooks.
WRAP UP
For a full fledged Windows 8 PC for only $199 is a grab on.The fact that Windows laptops can run desktop apps means they're better than Chromebooks, regardless of the price. The Stream 11 also comparatively much less pricier than most of the Chromebooks. The Stream also comes with a Stream 13 having same specs at $229 and a Stream 14 slightly varying at $299.
The HP Stream does have some compromises. The display lacks in the quality like other Chromebooks , although it has similar specs as usual Chromebooks and the pricing is same , there is difference in performance. The Stream takes more time to boot-up and the battery life is much less. For a fully smoothly functioning of Windows it does need more power than the hardware provided.
The Stream does provide with full fledged desktop apps, which is a must for productivity of offline usage. The negative part of Chromebooks is that you need a full time connected internet but that is surpassed in the Windows version. For this low price it has bright and playful design . the keyboard is really worked up and gives a good typing experience. With all the freebies included more than offered with normal Chromebooks.
At $199 , the Stream 11 is a good deal, comparing it with major Chromebooks which are more pricier. It comes with some compromises but if you are willing to give it off the HP Stream 11 is grab on .Only time will tell if the Chrome OS would be as efficient as Windows ?
WILL YOU BUY FULL WINDOWS OS OR DEVELOPING CHROME OS POWERED NETBOOK ?

Alienware Alpha
Alienware Alpa whole new generation creating the ease for gamer's. Alpha is made on the concept of both the PC and the console. Alienware Alpha is a "PC console" , giving you the ease of PC functionality and the compatibility of easy gaming from consoles. While it came from the most talked Steam Machine concept but Dell came head out with the product first.
The Alienware Alpha is simple, small black box that won't draw an iota of attention. The machine's power button is formed in the shape of the signature Alienware logo and one of the machine's front corners is bisected at a sharp angle. An LED glows around the perimeter of the cut. There are only two USB ports lingering on the device's front, but find two more on the machine's back edge. The compartment is large enough to conceal most wireless mouse and keyboard dongles it's far too small to contain the Alpha's included wireless Xbox 360 Controller adapter. The usual assortment of ports fills out the back: HDMI, Ethernet, power and even an optical audio output, though you can find a second HDMI socket as well. That's actually an HDMI passthrough input that can be activated through the Alpha's menu system. Basically, it lets you pipe another device in your entertainment center through Alienware's unit to save space on TV inputs.
Basically running on Windows 8.1 but Alpha has it's own custom UI . Alpha UI has a simpler interface which has steam big picture and an option to choose to connect the mouse and keyboard. When connecting both the mouse and keyboard the Alpha fully transforms itself into a full fledged PC .Which no other console has that compatibility . The console comes with gaming titles more than 3000+ on the steam store but when you try to install an old game it really makes you work through.Alpha's built-in mouse emulation is the killer feature here. It's more than a simple thumbstick-to-cursor mapping.Alpha's built-in mouse emulation is the killer feature here. It's more than a simple thumbstick-to-cursor mapping
Alienware Alpha has got it's graphics performance from the Nvidia Geforce GTX 860M GPU. The Alpha is ranged from Core i3 to Core i7 ranging from $549 to $899. The hard drive space also ranging from 500 GB to 2 TB.The Alpha also topped the other budget systems on the 3DMark Cloud Gate and 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme tests. Overall, the Alienware Alpha gaming PC shows some promise. Its performance is top notch for the price, .However, as an overall gaming system, Steam Big Picture and the Alienware UI overlay both seem like placeholders for future UI improvements, and the non-upgradable GPU will be a turn-off for longtime gamers.
The Alienware Alpha makes a great start in the whole new generation of PC consoles. The Alienware Alpha is a good black box packing with whole new hardware specs. The game play is that of the standard of console's.'s not quite user-friendly enough for the average console gamer, but it's still too limiting and simple to satisfy most PC gamers. It's too early to invest in this console having the tried and tested console at proper mark in the marker. In all the Alpha is a good head start program.

EMBRACE : A Health Watch
Embrace a new medical life saver for you.Embrace is just like a watch but can track your health with it's advanced innovations.Embrace is just like your smart-watch but which just monitors your health. Embrace is stylish looking watch which has metal case wrapped around leather straps. Embrace is a medical quality device to monitor and better understand your behavior. Embrace is the thinnest among it's class ever made.
Embrace is quite a unique concept which can monitor and understand better your behavior using it again and again.Embrace is developed in the MIT labs and futher funded by many organizations. the main idea around which Embrace is developed is to bring a better lifestyle to people that live with Epilepsy: they get an alert when an unusual event happens, like a convulsive seizure, warning them and their loved ones. Not only that Embrace also can check your entire day in a glance in a way that is easy to understand. Not only during exercise, but also at work, during your commute, during the night. If you push yourself too much, the Embrace will gently remind you with a vibration, that you need some time to recover. You can also customize it to suit your needs and behavior. It helps you to adapt a better lifestyle. To understand better ; When Epilepsy people wear Embrace, they will get an alert when an unusual event happens, like a convulsive seizure. These alerts will be received on smartphone to parents, roommates or anybody who can check on them. If a person wears a ‘companion’ Embrace , it has additional feature like if the two Embraces are within some specified range the ‘companion’ Embrace worn by the person will vibrate to alert them and save a person.
It has a Electrodermal sensors which help Embrace to understand your behavior. Electrodermal activity, or EDA, is autonomic data that is activated by regions deep in the brain involved in emotions such as fear, anxiety, and positive excitement. It is strongly activated during the kinds of seizures that involve a region of the brain that has been shown to shut down breathing.
Embrace will come with two apps:
(1) Empatica Mate : Basically personal stress, sleep, and activity feedback. Empatica Mate also comes with a diary for understanding better your daily life.
(2) Empatica Alert : an event detector for people with Epilepsy.
Empatica Mate : This app will provide you with customized insights on your behavior. You can set up Embrace to vibrate when you reach a certain level that you want to monitor. For example, you can set it to vibrate gently when your body’s stress level is climbing, before it gets too high, while you can still have a positive response.
Empatica Alert : This will be able to monitor events that might be a convulsive seizure, and get an alert that will go both to the wearer (where it can be silenced if needed) and to selected family members or friends who can bring help.
Embrace comes in two sizes a normal one and a small one for the kids. It also has a variety of colors of leather straps. Though it's not a smart watch it is building it's own segment.Even when we see the smart watch we feel uncomfortable , as not used to it, but carrying another device to track is pain.It would be necessary for some patients but for a normal person it feels another gadget attached to the body. If Embrace would be a combination of both medical-smart watch it would be a different ball game.In all the device is a great take on it's concepts.
WOULD YOU BUY ONE OR WAIT FOR SOMETHING THAT HAS ALL FEATURES IN IT?

NEXUS 9 : REVIEW
The Nexus line always come up with the surprise during this time of the year .Launching new hardware's and software's for the advancement of the Android future. The Nexus 7 (2012 & 2013) and also the Nexus 10 were major hit in the tablet world. This time Google replacing both of the tablets and finding a middle way out , the Nexus 9 is the new addition to the Nexus.Nexus 9 is developed by HTC and as it is Nexus got the back of Google.
The Nexus 9 as it is developed by HTC it follows somewhat of the design principles of the company. The Nexus 9 is just 8mm thick and weighs around 230g , which makes it quite handy. It has the same plastic design as it's predecessor. The metal band around the whole device is quite nice and adds the build quality of the device. As coming from HTC we hoped it would come with a great built quality but the tablet disappointed us ,but it isn't that bad. The tablet is lightweight and also very comfortable to hold all day.The back of the tablet can look ugly , due to fingerprint impressions. The Nexus 9 as you might have guessed is a 9 inch tablet (8.9 inch to be precise) IPS display. The LCD display is a QXGA with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 and also Corning Gorilla Glass 3.The display has an aspect ratio of 4:3 which is quite disturbing when watching videos as you can see the black patch on both side of screen. While games are scale-able and no problems in that mode. The display also has double tap to wake feature which can be handy at times. The display in broad day is not that visible and is having problems under direct sunlight. Rest all the display looks good by its specifications.
The Nexus 9 gets its power from a NVIDIA Tegra K1 Dual Denver which is clocked at 2.3 GHz and is of 64-bit architecture . The processor is supported by 2 GB of RAM and is available in two variants one 16 GB and the second being the 32 GB one.Lollipop does support 64 bit and the transition feels quite smooth. The tablet is pure gaming monster and handles every game with ease. The tablet does tend to warm up during heavy usage but hold able in hand. Nexus 9 has an 8 MP rear camera for taking photos with a f/2.4 aperture and LED flash to accompany it. Frankly this camera was not built to take photographs of the quality you would expect. Though the specifications speak differently but not worthy. For the video calling Nexus 9 comes with a 1.6 MP front camera and has an average performance. Nexus 9 comes with a dual front speakers , having BoomSound has great audible quality. Even iPad or previous Nexus had not positioned the speakers well but dual front speakers are really take on the audio.
Nexus 9 get all it's juice from a 6700 mAh battery in built in the tablet. The battery performances also disappoint a lot as it can not pass through an entire day. Power usage can be expected to give around 5 hrs of battery life . Lollipop is the main selling point of the tablet as it is an out of box Android 5.0 and the blend with the hardware and software feels seamless.Although all apps are not yet optimized for 64 bit but the apps that are are fluid on the device. The whole idea behind lollipop is a simpler interface.
Nexus 9 is priced around at $400 for the 16 GB version .The Nexus 9 is not an all out great product and not even the hardware is the top of the line but the software might be the selling point of the tablet. For $400 the tablet does not have a chance until and unless you want an stock Android. The iPad mini with retina display has better built quality and even the Nvidia Sheild at $300 can be considered as an alternative. But Nexus 9 is for those who want an pure stock Android and who really cares for the latest version of Android.Overall a good tablet but priced a little high.
WILL THE 9 BE A HIT LIKE ALL THE NEXUS TABLETS ?

NEXUS 6 : REVIEW
The Nexus 6 , the most lovely Android experience Google gives to the world. The Nexus line as been constant in their performance on giving the Android experience to the consumers. Now it is time to go big , first the Samsung started this trend then Apple joined and finally Nexus also got into the trend. Google has made it specifically to compete with the flagships of Apple and Samsung. Built on the back bone of the Motorola's Moto X but giving it the essence of Google.
The Nexus 6 can be simply be described as " a bigger Moto X ". The phone is really quite big , it's bigger than the iPhone 6 plus and even bigger then theNote 4 .The Nexus 6 has the same design as the Moto X and has the same steel ring on the sides. The Nexus is the same size of iPhone 6 Plus but has a larger screen. The phone feels quite big at start but you tend to feel comfortable after sometime because of the curved back. The Nexus 6 is bigger at the top than the bottom and can wobble when it's kept on the table. The back of the phone is quite plastic but a really good one. One thing about this phone is it is "rigid".
The Nexus has the largest display of 6 inch (5.98 " to be exact) but really it feels large. Now the screen is a Quad HD AMOLED Display with a pixel density of 493 ppi . The screen is as expected an really gives an excellent experience. The display when kept horizontal die give an rainbow colours effect.Expect that the display quality of videos is quite good and no glitches in viewing angle also. The volume rocker and power buttons are quite responsive.Nexus 6 has dual front speakers which give it a stereo effect for the sound and also has moderate sound. The call quality is also quite good.
The phone has got top of the line hardware which includes the snapdragon 805 quad core CPU and also has the Adreno 420 GPU for all those amazing performance. It has a 3 GB of ram to keep it up and is available in 32 or 64 GB variants. The phone is quite smooth when compared and is performing quite well. The gaming experience is quite worthy because of the big screen and the kick-ass processor powering it.The standard micro USB and Bluetooth 4.0 and also has NFC charging.
The camera has always been the taking point for the Nexus series. This time the Nexus has done quite improvements in the camera department. The Nexus 6 has got a 13 MP camera with Moto's dual ring LED . The camera picture is not as good as the iPhone or Note but has improved a lot over. The new camera app is simpler to use as well as the image focus has really surprised us.The quality of the picture is good but only in bright during low light the performance of the camera is simply not up to the mark. The camera features OIS ( optical image stabilization) and also 4K video recording is quite impressive. The front camera featuring of 2 MP is not we expected. Overall the camera still disappoints in the Nexus 6.
The main attraction is the latest Android lollipop , which is the biggest Android release . The nexus 6 has stock Android 5.0 and it is definitely made for it.The software completely supports the hardware, provides a great fluid experience. It is quite shocking that my Nexus 7 or even the Nexus 5 after update is not as smooth as Nexus 6.The screen pinning is a great feature added and also the priority mode which can be set according to your time. The guest mode is not as useful for me but is a great add on.Android 5.0 has onscreen notifications before switching on the phone but is quite laggy and doesn't performs as the way Moto X does.In all the material design is a great look and provides for a simpler interface.
Nexus 6 is given all it is got a 3220 mAh which just hangs around for the less than a day even when the screen is idle. When used at full power the battery varies a lot may be because of the apps not optimized for 5.0 still. But cannot expect a great performance from the battery. Even when the new battery saver mode is ones this annoying red colors is on both sides of screen which feels doesn't right. Due to the project Volta and the turbo charger from Motorola the phone can charge extremely fast but there's a catch when you switch off the phone then only it works as described but when the phone is on and kept charging we don't get the results but it is still faster if compared.
The nexus has always made it's nexus in the mid-up range priced, but this time the Nexus 6 is priced at $649 .The Nexus is for the pure Android fans and those who love stock droid.Comparing it to the iPhone 6 or the Note 4 they both exceed , leaving the iPhone aside if for android the Samsung's camera is top notch and the S pen is factor but the UI "sucks" .For Nexus it's the UI who is really the turning point.Seeing the Nexus 6 it is for the users who want the stock Android and the latest updates from Google and is not so considered for the camera images.
WHAT'S YOUR PIC THE NOTE 4 OR THE NEXUS 6 ???

Lantern : Free Internet
Lantern is a start-up by the company Outernet , which claims to provides free data to anywhere in the world. Lantern is currently getting funded through indiegogo campaign.
SO WHAT IS LANTERN ??
Lantern is basically a receiver which receives it's signal and transmits it to our devices.Lantern continuously receives radio waves broadcast by Outernet from space. Lantern turns the signal into digital files, like web pages, news articles, e-books, videos, and music. Lantern can receive and store any type of digital file on its internal drive. To view the content stored in Lantern, turn on the Wi-Fi hotspot and connect to Lantern with any Wi-Fi enabled device. All you need is a browser to connect to it.
FREE DATA ARE YOU SERIOUS ???
The first question pops up why in the name of god, I have been paying for the net if it is free!!.Initially, Lantern will receive about 2 MB/day but it could stream data at up to 100 MB/day "If the company gets the support it needs". If you have bought the lantern that's it no more net packs or heavy bills .
Lantern is a project developed for the disconnected people that is , people who do not have access to Internet. Many rural parts in the world are still disconnected from the Internet. Outernet with the help of Lantern wants to bridge this gap, as Lantern works at almost all the co-ordinates.Lantern is such a simple product that the company is letting you make a DIY product which may be cheaper than Lantern.
SO HOW DOES IT WORK ?
As I told you earlier Lantern is just a Receiver , but the question still arises How do you get it free?. Outernet down;loads all the essential files , music ,books, web pages etc etc and stores it in the Outernet serves. Outernet satellite dish beams the data from it's serves to it's satellites and then the satellite beams it back to earth in the form of radio waves. Then Lantern receives that data and when it's connected to the Wi-fi enabled device the data is finally can be accessed.
Little confusing lets make it easier , just think of it as your FM service. The FM station will be your Outernet station and the FM receiver would be the Lantern and the music that you listen would be data you would access on your device.
About Lantern

AMAZON ECHO
Amazon Echo a new device from Amazon , that listens to you. When Amazon announced the Echo after seeing the black cylindrical box, the first pop "What is this and what does it do ??". The cylindrical black tower is an audio system which is connected to the web and responds to you.Amazon Echo is purely built as an home device , which will help you get all things. It streams music from the Amazon’s Prime Music library, Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, TuneIn, and play local music collections. With the integrated Bluetooth, the Echo can play music streamed from local devices.
Amazon Echo can be thought of as a "Cortana in a black tower " or any personal assistant only this one's not latched on to your phone.Amazon Echo can respond to only two words one being "Amazon" and the other "Alexa" . Well calling it Amazon feels awkward as you speak it every time in the room but "Alexa "seems okay may be after some software updates you can call it whatever name you want. The ring of light is good as it adapts whenever you activate it.Setting up the Echo was quite easy as all you need is in the packaged box , Once plugged in it sets up via the browser or the Echo App.
WHAT WHAT TO DO WITH IT ?? Well Amazon Echo has lots to do , first of it recognizes you. You can speak to Echo from any where in the room you want. The Echo is extremely good at voice recognition as it can even listen while playing music from the speakers.
Echo can be asked to do like :
News, weather, and information: Hear up-to-the-minute weather and news from a variety of sources, including local radio stations, NPR, and ESPN from TuneIn.
Music: Listen to your Amazon Music Library, Prime Music, TuneIn, and iHeartRadio.
Alarms, timers, and lists: Stay on time and organized with voice-controlled alarms, timers, shopping and to-do lists.
Questions and answers: Get information from Wikipedia, definitions, answers to common questions, and more.
And lots more as the Echo gets updated automatically and helps improving from your information stored in the cloud and your Amazon account.
HARDWARE The Amazon Echo is a metal cylinder, half of which is perforated to let the audio out. It sounds pretty good for such a small device given the 2-inch tweeter, 2.5-inch woofer, and the reflex port designed to play deep sounds. . It is 9.25 inches tall.
The top of the cylinder is a volume ring for physically turning it up and down. The Echo uses far-field technology for listening to requests, aided by seven-microphone array in the top. There is a blue light ring on the top to signal when the Echo is waiting for spoken commands. The light briefly flashes to indicate the Echo understood the spoken command and is executing it. There are two buttons on top of the Echo, one to manually activate the microphone for input and the other an "action" button. The action can be used to turn off an alarm or timer, and to wake the device. Those who prefer not to speak to it , Echo ships with a small remote with media player controls.
SHOULD YOU BUY IT ?
Well isn't this the obvious question we face whenever something new comes up .Well it is quite tricky as the people who will use it will see this as a good buy otherwise it will be just sitting around.
The Echo makes a good base level audio system , even if you think of use it as an music player. After some time you really get relied on it , to get all your information. It works like a friend after you come from outside just makes you happy by playing your favorite library of music. The more the Echo will evolve it will be as a companion to you. We hope Amazon backs it up and gets even better.
The Echo for $199 is not bad, but if you’re an Amazon Prime member, the $99 price is a no-brainier.

NOKIA N1
With much of a surprise , Nokia showed off it's new hardware. After the change in the name of Lumia series after the Microsoft takeover , we thought of Microsoft would really replace all the brand's name with it's. Proving it not true , Nokia teased in the twitter account with an image of a black box ,confusing everyone until today. The Nokia N1 is the brand new take on the tablet by this giant. The N1 resembles their whole new beginning into the tablet business.
The Nokia N1 is an attempt to emulate the Apple's iPad Mini , Nokia has the same 7.9 inch screen size and even the same 2048 X 1536 resolution.Nokia has also taken the single piece anodized aluminium design. And the resemblance's does not stop there , Nokia has got the back same but carefully tweaking some adjustments to it. The grill at the bottom is a look alike and when you just see the N1 , it see's like a duplicate of an iPad.But hold on !!!
Nokia N1 has to offer some changes to it. Like the charging port , which resembles like the same as Apple's but it is a ( USB 2.0 ) Type-C USB reversible port. This is where things change . While the tablet may look like Apple mini but the N1 is just 6.9 mm thick and weighs around 318 grams making both thinner and lighter than the Apple's Mini . But not on the inside , the N1 packs an Intel Atom Z3580 processor clocked at 2.3 Ghz and supporting it is a 2 GB RAM with 32 GB of in-built storage.Nokia N1 has an 8 MP camera at it's rear and for your selfie it has an 5 MP version. It gets its juice from a 5300 mAh battery , will get it going.
And to another surprise it's not powered by Windows but actually Android. It is backed by an Android 5.0 "lollipop" but Nokia's has added it's own touch to it with the Z launcher. The Z launcher was an initially a beta project but now is released on the Google play with devices running Android 4.1 + . The Z launcher is quite simple it lets you write out letters right on the screen, is to give you a list of apps and contacts that changes based on where you are and what you're doing. You can also scribble out a letter in the middle of your home-screen to search what's installed on your phone, or things on the internet through Google suggestions.
Nokia really has really shocked by all it's new N1 but also the release of the Z launcher. The Nokia is really taking on the iPad with it's N1. Nokia's planning to launch the N1 in China for $249 (before taxes) around the time of Chinese New Year (February 19th), and it will roll out to Russia and select European countries after the Chinese release. That's an impressive and aggressive price point against Apple's $399 for the latest iPad mini 3. Well only release will tell if it's all worth it.
NOKIA N1 LOOKS PROMISING BUT WILL YOU BUY IT ?

MICROSOFT LUMIA 535 : Replacing Nokia
Microsoft has finally ended it , the long reign of the Nokia is finally done. Nokia had one being the world leader in mobile had not made it's mark on the smart phone revolution. After taking over by Microsoft , it was in new that the Nokia brand will be replaced by Microsoft.Microsoft officially announced the new Lumia 535 on 11th November.
The Microsoft Lumia 535 is the first non Nokia Lumia launched , making it replaced by Microsoft. No flagship being planned by this year by Lumia , sit is instead focusing on the low-end smart-phone, while Motorola and Xiaomi have taken an edge of on the low market , Lumia is still finding a flagship phone to compete with iPhone 6 or even the Nexus 6.The Lumia 535 being on the low-end of the spectrum which might help to boost the windows phone market share. Microsoft Lumia carriers the same principle the Nokia has , the Lumia 535 has the same design principles. The Microsoft Lumia has a 5 inch qHD display with a resolution of 960 X 540.The Lumia is powered on by a Snapdragon 200 1.2 Ghz quad core processor and supporting it is a 1GB RAM. While the screen is qHD the viewing angles of the screen are pretty impressive.Microsoft has provided a 5MP main as well as a secondary camera which is quite fascinating. The increment in RAM from 512 MB to 1 GB is also impressive. The main camera is 5MP with auto focus as well as led flash , while the secondary is also a 5MP but with much wider angle lens. Lumia 535 will come with the latest Lumia Denim software.
Microsoft has is calling it a "5 X 5 X 5" proposition to tempt 535 customers.Essentially, it’s five integrated Microsoft services: Skype, Office, OneDrive, Cortana, and OneNote. Also the 5 " display and the two 5MP camera also imply the proposition. The Lumia 535 is looking like a promising device and a tough challenger. Now if it's the low-end smart phone the main criteria is the price at which it will be available. the Lumia 535 will be available in two different SIM versions : single SIM and dual SIM variant and priced at around $130 making it slightly expensive then the 530 . However the Lumia 535 will be released in Asian markets initially, to grab it's market share in these emerging market. With the Lumia 535 Microsoft future is all set to hold a market place starting with low-end devices.Lumia 535 looks a decent device at an incredible price tag , but let's see if it shakes things up.
WILL REPLACING BRANDING HELP THE LUMIA TO INCREASE IT'S MARKET SHARE ?

MICROSOFT BAND
Well Microsoft has come up with their wearable technology , the world is moving to the wearable's. The wearable technology war is starting to develop slowly but gradually every company is trying to get serious in this segment.Microsoft has come up with a band just like the Samsung Galaxy fit. There is not much difference in the smart-watch and smart-band both doing the same just one a little lighter to wear. Microsoft Band is the first and the foremost in the whole Microsoft Health program. The Band is extremely fitness oriented but packs a lot more features. The band is a bracelet like a stiff rubber on your wrist. It has an action button on the side of the band and a power button right in the middle. The band is not the best looking design in the whole wearable world as well as does not feel right also. The band feels more comfortable if the screen is worn inside , but again it is a forced wrap around on your waist. Cross-platform compatibility is the best and the most important on the part of Microsoft, as are some of the features built into the Health app. It can sync with the third-party apps RunKeeper and MyFitnessPal ,But it also has built-in workouts from various sources, like Gold’s Gym, Shape, Men’s Fitness and even Microsoft itself, and they can be downloaded onto the band.
It tracks steps, estimates calorie use during activities at the gym, and has a built-in GPS so it can track your running or cycling route without your having to have your phone with you. It tracks your movements during sleep, and there is even a Starbucks app: You can load up a Starbucks card and make payments with the band. However the 24 hour heart rate monitor is disappointing and has not been accurate as it should be.The main glitch is that their is a major difference in the heart rate as compared to professional monitors.
When paired with a windows phone the Band gets a lit more functionality and interactive. The main being the Cortana support for all those voice commands to respond to the text messages and emails as well with your voice. The watch interface is borrowed from the Windows line. You can customize the band by choosing the screen color and background design. And you can customize multiple tiles on the band’s touch screen. It can display up to 12 screens, including texts, emails and calls, calendar invitations, running data, exercise, sleep, guided workouts, weather, and Facebook or Twitter notifications.
However combining all this the Microsoft band is also the primitive piece of technology in the wearable world like all other devices.Microsoft Band is filled with features for the functionality of the band , saying that the tile interface feels good at the hand and quite easy to use.The main drawback of the band would be the design of the product , there are no curves no comfort ability in the Band . Band does not feel like an extension but a forced health product on your hand and making you feel uncomfortable every time you wear it. The main competition Gear S does all that the Band but feels much more premium as well as more "Band " like technology. For $199 the device is to early to be chosen but serves the purposes of the fitness world with pairing with whichever OS you like is a big advantage of this product.
